How to Make an Employee as an Ex-Employee
Overview
When an employee leaves your organization, you can update their status to Ex-Employee in WeekMate HRMS. This helps keep employee records accurate while preserving historical information for reporting, compliance, and future reference.
This guide explains how to change an active employee's status to an ex-employee from the WeekMate HRMS portal.
Before You Begin
Before marking an employee as an ex-employee, make sure:
You are logged in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
You have permission to manage employee records.
The employee exists in the system.
The employee's last working day and separation details are available, if required.
Steps
Log in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
Navigate to the Employees module.
Search for and select the employee you want to update.
Open the employee profile.
Select the option to mark the employee as an Ex-Employee.
Enter the required separation details, such as the last working day or reason for leaving, if applicable.
Review the information entered.
Click Save or Submit to confirm the change.
The employee's status will be updated to Ex-Employee, and the record will remain available for future reference.
