How to Change Role Permission of an Employee

Overview

Role permissions determine which modules and features an employee can access in WeekMate HRMS. Assigning the appropriate role helps ensure employees have access only to the functions required for their responsibilities while maintaining data security across the organization.

This guide explains how to assign or update an employee's role permission from the WeekMate HRMS admin portal.

Before You Begin

Before changing an employee's role permission, make sure:

  • You are logged in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
  • You have permission to manage employee roles and access permissions.
  • The required role has already been created in the system.
  • The employee has an active profile in WeekMate HRMS.

Steps

  1. Log in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
  2. Navigate to the Employees module.
  3. Search for and select the employee whose role you want to update.
  4. Open the employee profile.
  5. Click Edit to modify the employee details.
  6. Locate the Role Permission or Role field.
  7. Select the appropriate role from the available list.
  8. Review the updated role assignment.
  9. Click Save to apply the changes.

The employee will receive the access permissions associated with the selected role.
