How to Assign Work Shift

Overview

After creating work shifts, you can assign them to employees in WeekMate HRMS. Assigning the correct shift ensures employee attendance is recorded against the appropriate working hours and helps maintain accurate attendance, overtime, and leave calculations.

This guide explains how to assign a work shift to one or more employees from the WeekMate HRMS admin portal.

Before You Begin

Before assigning a work shift, make sure:

  • You are logged in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
  • You have permission to manage attendance and shift assignments.
  • At least one work shift has already been created.
  • The employees you want to assign the shift to are available in the system.

Steps

  1. Log in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
  2. Navigate to the Attendance module.
  3. Open the Assign Work Shift section.
  4. Click Assign Work Shift or Add Assignment.
  5. Select the employee or employees who will receive the work shift.
  6. Choose the work shift you want to assign.
  7. Select the effective date or date range for the shift assignment, if applicable.
  8. Review the assignment details.
  9. Click Save to assign the work shift.

The selected work shift will be assigned successfully and will be applied to the employee's attendance based on the effective dates.
