How to Assign Leaves

Overview

After creating leave types, you need to assign them to employees before they can apply for leave. Assigning leaves ensures employees receive the correct leave entitlements based on your organization's policies, employment type, or department.

This guide explains how to assign leave types to one or more employees in the WeekMate HRMS admin portal.

Before You Begin

Before assigning leaves, make sure:

  • You are logged in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
  • You have permission to manage leave settings.
  • The required leave types have already been created.
  • The employees you want to assign leaves to have active profiles.

Steps

  1. Log in to your WeekMate HRMS account.
  2. Navigate to the Leave module.
  3. Open the Assign Leaves section.
  4. Click Assign Leave.
  5. Select the employee or employees who will receive the leave assignment.
  6. Choose the leave type you want to assign.
  7. Configure the leave details, such as the leave balance, effective period, or other applicable settings.
  8. Review the assignment details.
  9. Click Save to assign the leave.

The selected leave type will be assigned successfully and will be available for employees when they submit leave requests.
